Richard says: "The most important role of an MP is to be accessible to all constituents.

Since 2019 I have held an average of 1 surgery per week across all of the 56 Parishes and Towns that made up the old North East Bedfordshire constituency.

I've also conducted 24 'town hall' meetings in the past 2 years since Covid restrictions were lifted, and we've handled more than 30,000 constituent responses.

The visits to Parish events and conducting tours of Parliament that Steve references are some of the more 'fun' parts of the role."
